DAVID BUZAS, MD

Dr. Buzas is an Orthopaedic surgeon with extensive and diverse training in general Orthopaedics, who specializes state-of-the art surgical techniques in Sports Medicine. He obtained a Bachelor’s of Science in Chemistry from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. Dr. Buzas then obtained his medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, Michigan. He then did a research fellowship, at Wayne State University Department of Orthopaedic Surgery. He published multiple studies on

concussions, knee replacements and high tibial osteotomies. He graduated from the Orthopaedic residency at Beaumont Health in Royal Oak, Michigan. After residency, he completed a sub-specialty year in sports medicine at Ochsner Clinic in New Orleans, Louisiana. During his fellowship, he was involved with the care of athletes and multiple teams, including the NBA Pelicans, Dillard University women’s volleyball and women’s and men’s basketball, and high school football.

Dr. Buzas relocated to Boca Raton, Florida after fellowship to build his practice. Dr. Buzas’ goal is to educate his patients about the available treatment options, and make recommendations as to what the best treatment options are based off the evidence and the individual patient’s lifestyle and goals. He is a compassionate surgeon, who listens to each of his patient’s individual concerns and questions, and provides exceptional Orthoapedic care.

Dr. Buzas is excited to call Florida his home, and is eager to explore all this beautiful community has to offer. In his free time, Dr. Buzas enjoys lifting weights, cycling, relaxing on the beach and traveling.
